The StrangersI find this poster effective because at first the reader won't notice the silhouette in the back of the poster. And when they do, they feel scared because the person has a mask on which hides there face which keeps the person mysterious and frightening. The reader can also tell that they should be scared because of the women's expression, she is shocked and scared because she can't see where the person is.
